March Break

Take part in affordable fun from March 16 to 20 at municipal pools, arenas and ski hills. The City of Greater Sudbury will offer free public swimming and skating, extended hours at Adanac and Lively Ski Hills, and more.

Swimming: Free public swim sessions are scheduled at Howard Armstrong Recreation Centre, Gatchell, Onaping, R.G. Dow and Nickel District pools, compliments of Tim Hortons. Dates and hours vary by location. 

Skating: Public skating is free of charge at all 14 community arenas through the Feel Free to Skate program. Dates and hours vary by location.

Skiing and Boarding: Adanac and Lively Ski Hills will be open additional hours for the March Break. March Break Fun Camps are available at Adanac Ski Hill for skiers and boarders ages 7 to 14. Ski hill conditions are available at www.greatersudbury.ca/ski.

Day Camp: March Break Day Camp for children ages 5 to 12 take place from March 16 to 20, 8 a.m. to 50 p.m. at the Howard Armstrong Recreation Centre. Register by the day or for the week.

Outdoor Rinks: The Ramsey Lake Skating Path and Queen’s Athletic Skating Oval will remain open for March Break, weather and ice conditions permitting.

Libraries: Greater Sudbury Public Libraries have events and activities scheduled throughout the March Break. Check out the events calendar under Programs and Services at www.sudburylibraries.ca.
