Start a Planning Application
The City of Sudbury is transitioning to digital planning application submissions, using a web-based system called Pronto. Pronto is an account-based system that allows you to apply for and see the status of your planning application anywhere, at anytime.
When a resident or developer registers for a Pronto account, they can:
If you are submitting a planning application, your first step, depending on the type of application, is to complete an application for pre-consultation.
The following planning application types are currently being accepted through Pronto:
- Pre-Consultation (SPART)
- Minor Variance and Sign Variance
- Consent (Land Severance)
- Zoning By-law Amendment
- Official Plan Amendment
- Site Plan Control
- Plan of Subdivision
- Deeming Bylaw
- Validation of Title
- Municipal Consents
Additionally, the following planning related requests are being processed through Pronto:
- Municipal Addressing
- Site Capacity Analysis
The following requests are currently being accepted outside of Pronto at this time:
- Removal of Holding Provision
- Subdivision Development
- Draft Plan Condominium
- Part of Lot Control
- Front Ending Agreements
- Lot Grading Plans
- Sign Variance Appeal Form
- Telecommunication Towers
