Fitness Centres
A review of the structural integrity of the Capreol Millennium Centre has been completed, following its closure on March 20, 2026, due to concerns related to snow load. The review found no evidence of permanent damage to the roof structure and confirmed the building is safe for re-occupancy. Contractors are completing drywall and fixture restoration in the west wing of the building. During this work, the classrooms, workout area and accessibility lift will remain closed, and the area will be locked for safety. Fitness Centre memberships remain on hold and will be extended. For inquiries, please contact 311.
A partial reopening of the Capreol Millennium Centre will begin Tuesday, May 5, with the following services resuming:
- Youth Centre operating in its regular space, weekdays from 3 to 8 p.m.
- Cadets regaining access to their offices and storage areas
- Yoga classes continuing at the old fire hall until May 21
- Gymnasium reopening to the public for court sports
The Capreol Millennium Centre is expected to fully reopen by June 8, 2026.
There’s a new way to register for parks and recreation programs or book a facility. It’s easy to create an account! If you need help getting started, visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
The French interface of our new registration system is still under development, however it is important that the City goes live with the new system as the existing registration and facility booking system is no longer supported by the vendor. Residents can still receive this service in French by calling 311 to have a French-speaking operator process bookings or registrations. The French interface will be launched in time for the fall/winter registration period.
