City Improving Scales at Sudbury Landfill

The Sudbury Landfill scales will undergo a major rehabilitation this spring and summer from May 13 to July 31, 2024. These repairs will ensure continued landfill service delivery.

During the repairs, the Sudbury Landfill will run as a single-scale operation. Vehicles coming into and exiting the landfill will be weighed in and out on the same scale. 

Residents can expect longer than usual wait times at the Sudbury Landfill while the repairs are taking place.

What you can do:

• Use Roadside Services: Use our roadside collection programs for garbage, Blue Box recyclables, Green Cart organics, leaf and yard trimmings, and large furniture, appliance, and electronics collection.
