Easter Weekend Municipal Service Schedule 2023

Holiday schedules will apply to the following municipal services from Friday, April 7 to Monday, April 10, 2023.

• Roadside collection of garbage, leaf and yard trimmings, Blue Box recycling and Green Cart organics scheduled for Friday, April 7 will take place on Saturday, April 8. Please ensure waste is at the roadside by 7 a.m. on Saturday.
   
• Landfills and transfer stations will be closed on Friday, April 7, but will be open on Saturday, April 8 and Monday, April 10. Landfills and transfer stations are closed on Sundays.
   
• The Recycling Centre will be closed on Friday, April 7. 
   
• Citizen Service Centres and libraries will be closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday, but will operate during regular business hours on Saturday.
   
• Greater Sudbury pools, youth centres and fitness facilities will be closed on Friday, April 7 and Monday, April 10. Operating hours for Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9 vary by location. Please visit www.greatersudbury.ca for additional information.
   
• GOVA Transit will follow holiday routes and schedules on Friday, April 7 and Sunday, April 9. Buses on Monday, April 10 will follow a Saturday/Sunday service schedule. The Saturday transit schedule is unaffected by the holiday weekend.
   
• The Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter is closed to walk-ins. Residents who are interested in adopting a pet must call 311 to schedule a visit. Appointments will not be available on Friday, April 7 and Monday, April 10.
   
• 311 and Live Web Chat at 311.greatersudbury.ca will not be available from Friday, April 7 through Monday, April 10. Call 311 for urgent public works or animal control inquiries.
