Waste Wise
Beginning January 1, 2026, in accordance with new provincial legislation, management of the residential Blue Box program has transferred from the City to Circular Materials Ontario (CMO) across Ontario. To find out what is recyclable in CMO’s program, please visit circularmaterials.ca/sudbury.
The City continues to operate a separate recycling program for properties and non-residential establishments not included under the new provincial regulation. To find out what is recyclable in the City’s recycling program, use the “Wizard” in the Waste Wise App or on-line tool below.
Not sure if CMO provides your recycling services?
- Enter your address in Waste Wise
- If you see the “More information about my service” link, click to see more. This means CMO provides your recycling services, and their contact details will appear. You can still use Waste Wise for your collection day calendar.
- If this message does not appear, your recycling is part of the City’s program. Collection may be through a private company. Find out more at greatersudbury.ca/recycling.
