Beginning January 1, 2026, in accordance with new provincial legislation, management of the residential Blue Box program has transferred from the City to Circular Materials Ontario (CMO) across Ontario. To find out what is recyclable in CMO’s program, please visit circularmaterials.ca/sudbury.

The City continues to operate a separate recycling program for properties and non-residential establishments not included under the new provincial regulation. To find out what is recyclable in the City’s recycling program, use the “Wizard” in the Waste Wise App or on-line tool.
