Neighbourhood Playgrounds

Neighbourhood Playgrounds offer convenient and affordable summer programs close to home. Field trips and special events add adventure to the program, bringing all playground participants together for citywide celebrations. Special events include: Sports Days, Theme Days (e.g. Play Around the World), special event days and a talent show. Offsite trips are offered for an additional charge.

Ages:

5 to 12 years

Dates:

July 4 to August 25, 2017 (closed August 7)
Note: August 25 half day session only

Time:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Fee:

$330.00 per child (Bussing for field trips and special events not included in registration fee.)

Lunch:

Supervision is provided. Children must bring their own lunch.

Special events and field trips:

Your child’s attendance must be confirmed in writing (through permission forms provided) prior to special events and field trips. Offsite trips are scheduled on Wednesday or Thursday, and are moved to Friday in the event of rain.

Register:

Enrolment may be limited so register early! Registration opens March 8, 2017.
Note: Registration cannot be accepted at playground sites.

Certain locations are subject to change based on availability of facilities. Participants will be notified of changes prior to commencement of programs.

Note: The City of Greater Sudbury reserves the right to decline admission to this program should our assessment of the participant’s needs exceed our capacity to provide appropriate supervision/staff and ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants. Parents of children whose needs are beyond the capacity of this program may consider participation in the Developmental Summer Program, listed next.
