Camp Wassakwa

General Information

Location:

Bass Lake, Municipal Road 4
(Fairbanks Provincial Park turn-off)

Ages:

5 to 14 years

Activities:

Many outdoor activities including canoeing, archery, sailing, crafts, kayaking, hiking, cooking and special events theme (weather permitting). (Note: Activities are tailored to suit age levels and may vary at each session.)

Rookie Wassakwa is designed for the beginner camper, with many special activities geared to first-time campers. Rookie Wassakwa runs concurrently with programs for older children.

Lunch:

Campers are asked to bring their own lunch. (Water bottle refill stations available.)

Note: Registrations must be completed by Thursday at 3:00 p.m. of the week prior to the program start date.

Camp Wassakwa Schedule/Fees

Ages:

Rookie – 5 and 6 years
Regular – 7 to 14 years

Fee:

5-day session fee (includes transportation): $167.00
4-day session fee (includes transportation): $135.00

Camp Wassakwa  Open House 

Attend our open house and experience first hand the joys of an outdoor summer camp. Try your hand at canoeing, archery, nature crafts and more. Enjoy a free barbeque and tour.

Time: 11:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m

Camp Wassakwa Bus Information

Bus pick-up begins at 7:45 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. arrival at Camp Wassakwa. Buses leave Camp at 4:00 p.m. Final drop-off is 5:15 p.m. You will be asked to select your child’s bus stop and schedule at time of registration.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to bus stop, to allow for traffic fluctuations.

After hours bussing questions/concerns may be directed to the Leisure Program Supervisor at 705-674-4455, ext. 2457.

If your child is scheduled for a bus, you must notify the Camp Director of any changes such as a parent pick up.
