Ms. Fits Fitness

Offering fitness programs for over 30 years, Ms. Fits has proven that exercise can be fun! Beginner Courses: Kids Learn to Ride 

This course, taught on grass, will teach children how to balance, pedal, start, stop and steer their bike so that they are comfortable riding without training wheels. Youth will also learn about: correct helmet use, proper clothing, what to do before a ride, carrying items, bike safety and security. Bicycle seat must be low enough so that both feet can touch the ground while sitting on the seat.

Requirements: A caregiver must accompany the child to support the child. The caregiver must be able to walk/run along with the child rider.

Taekwondo FUNdamentals    

Ages 4 to 8

This program is focused on fun activities that will develop the ABC's (agility, balance and coordination) of youngsters, while encouraging creative play. Students will develop an understanding of basic taekwondo stances, punches and kicks in a structured, safe and non-threatening environment.

Taekwondo Family Class

This program is designed to allow families an opportunity to engage in physical activity to increase their physical fitness and work together to achieve their own personal goals in a structured, safe and non-threatening environment. This program’s focus is on developing the participant’s motor skills, as well as refining and consolidating their taekwondo skills through a variety of activities.

This program is designed to allow the participants to acquire, consolidate and refine their taekwondo skills through a variety of activities including poomsae, combatives, breaking, self-defense and meditation. The objective is to encourage autonomy over learning and provide opportunities to learn new skills independently and in group settings.

High Performance    

All Ages and up; Must have Green Belt or more.

This program is intended for those participants that are between the Train-to-Train and Train-to-Win stages of development and wish to pursue the opportunities in the sport aspect of taekwondo. The intent is to start specializing in the combative Taekwondo (sport) by developing the fighting skills needed at the competitive level. The goal is to develop the athlete’s tactical (attack and defense) strategies that are consistent with their fighting style.

Photography Level One 

Ages 16 and up

Learn to use the many features offered by the digital cameras of today. From basic knowledge of aperture, shutter speed and ISO, to taking full control in manual mode and more. Program participants will examine the effect and control of lighting, lenses and other available gear. During these classes the participants will have opportunities to try various techniques in posing people and various subject matter. These classes are hands-on with audio-visual enhancements. Camera required for course. Bring your own tripod (if you have one) to each class.

Advanced Yoga is designed for participants at an intermediate level. You will build on the breathing and relaxation techniques, yoga postures and sequences learned in beginner yoga. Students will develop increased strength, stamina and flexibility through more advanced postures and sequences.
