Walter Street Bridge Replacement

The City of Greater Sudbury will be
completing a Bridge Replacement on Walter Street, Coniston,
between 32 and 34 Walter Street.

Construction Details:

Removal of the existing Walter Street Bridge including guiderail, abutment, retaining walls, wing walls and foundation.
Remove and replace existing asphalt pavement and waterproofing
Supply and install new open-bottom precast concrete culvert
Supply and form new concrete distribution slab
Install new reinforced concrete sidewalk and transition ramp
Supply and form new gabion basket walls
Place substrate in creek bed backfill, compact and grade road surface
Reconstruction of the road approaches
Remove and replace existing watermain per limit
