High Falls Road Bridge

The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing road improvements on High Falls Road, 1.2 km north of MR 5 Spanish River Road.
 
Construction Details:

• Replacing existing bridge with pre-cast concrete girder bridge.
• Constructing temporary detour bridge to maintain traffic.
• Installing new guide rails and energy attenuating end treatment.
• Repaving bridge approaches

Expected Start Date: Summer 2020
Expected End Date: Fall 2020

On March 24, 2020, the Province of Ontario classified the construction industry as essential. Work on the approved 2020 capital budget is ongoing and the City is committed to the planned infrastructure improvements.

Under normal circumstances, the City would hold public information sessions to explain these projects and their impact on communities. Instead, we are publishing information online and asking residents to review these documents from their homes.
