School Crossing Guard Program
Due to recruiting challenges and resource constraints, the City of Greater Sudbury is experiencing staffing shortages for School Crossing Guards. As a result, designated community school crossing guard locations may be left unattended. The safety of students is our priority, and the City will continue to regularly review and adjust staffing resources and service level needs in an attempt to minimize this disruption of service. If a designated school crossing guard location cannot be covered with a School Crossing Guard, a notice regarding a temporary location closure will be posted on this web page. City staff will notify the affected school(s) as soon as possible and request that they advise families through school communication portals.
