Changes to City Services

In consultation with Public Health Sudbury & Districts, Greater Sudbury Council has suspended public programs and temporarily closed many municipal facilities to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The City continues to maintain and has contingency plans in place for the uninterrupted delivery of essential and legislated services including water treatment, wastewater processing, fire protection, paramedic response, collection of household waste and provision of transportation networks.

As the Province’s COVID-19 restart plans continue to move forward, the City of Greater Sudbury has been identified as one of the regions permitted to move into Stage 3, as of 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 17. This stage permits the safe reopening of more municipal amenities.

Learn how the following municipal services have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
