Residents who have not already completed the Greater Sudbury Transit Action Plan survey still have time to participate and help transform the local public transit system.

The Greater Sudbury Transit Action Plan survey is available online at www.greatersudbury.ca/TAP and on paper at the Greater Sudbury Public Library and the Downtown Transit Terminal until midnight on Sunday, July 9.

The Transit Action Plan is a comprehensive review across all transit services in Greater Sudbury with a focus on identifying key ways the system can achieve “Better Routes. Better Schedules. Better Service”.

Over the past two weeks, representatives of Greater Sudbury Transit have travelled throughout the community to ask citizens what they like about local public transit, what they would like to see improved and how they could be encouraged to use the service.

A total of 16 open houses were hosted at busy retail and recreational locations across the city between June 20 and 30, as well as four workshops for stakeholders with a special interest in public transportation.

Resident ideas and responses will be used in developing recommendations to improve local public transit service for a second round of public consultation in October and November, 2017.
