The City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services is looking for volunteer firefighters and is undertaking a recruitment drive in the following communities to fill an identified need: Beaver Lake, Dowling, Vermillion Lake, Levack, Val Caron, Falconbridge, Skead and Red Deer Lake.

MR 35, Lively- Traffic Lights installation will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction at Day Construction on MR 35 on Friday, October 6 to Friday November 3.

Falconbridge Road, Garson- A water main repair will close the southbound curb lane on Falconbridge Road between Penman Avenue and O'Neil Drive West on Thursday, October 5. Work will be complete by midnight.

Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury- Asphalt removal and re-paving work will close the westbound curb lane at 1400 Lasalle Boulevard, in front of A&W and Bulk Barn on Thursday,

Paris Street, Sudbury- Roof work at TDS will close two south bound lanes and the sidewalk in front of Tom Davies Square on Paris Street. Lane closures will be between the entrance and exits to the Paris Street parking garage on Thursday, October 5.
