The City of Greater Sudbury has opened the community’s first crossride intersections on the Paris Street corridor, as part of the active transportation improvements completed between York Street and Walford Road.

Dennie Street, MR 84, Capreol- Laurentian University Seismic studies will continue on Dennie Street and MR 84 beginning Tuesday, October 24 until Saturday, October 28. 28.

King Street, Capreol- Sanitary sewer improvements will close King Street between Lakeshore Drive and Young street from Tuesday October 24 to Friday, November 10 at 6 p.m. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access at all times. Detour signage will be in place.

Paris Street, Sudbury- Asphalt milling will reduce traffic to one lane on Paris Street at the Ramsey intersection and on Paris Street at the Centennial Drive intersection beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 19 until 4 p.m. Friday, October 20. A paid duty officer will be on site directing traffic.

Seismic testing by Laurentian University will see a large truck (see picture attached) placing sensors on the shoulder of the road. Every few kilometres the truck stop

Rowat Street, Sudbury- Final asphalt work will close the intersection of Rowat Street and Lorne Street on Thursday October 19 and Friday October 20. Motorists are asked to use Bulmer Avenue, Demorest Avenue and Mary Street as alternative routes.

MR 55, Copper Cliff- Bridge rehabilitation work will result in 2 to 15 minute road closures on MR 55, 500 metres west of Power Street on Wednesday, October 18 beginning at 6 p.m.

Allan Street, Coniston- Water main installation will close the intersection of Allan Street at Edward Avenue on Wednesday, October 18 to Friday, October 20.
