Residents will have opportunities to comment on a draft integrated site plan for the Kingsway Entertainment District, including the Greater Sudbury Arena/Event Centre, Gateway Casino and a hotel complex, both in person at open houses and online at www.greatersudbury.ca/eventcentre until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6.

Marier Street, Azilda- A private contractor will close Marier Street at the train tracks on MR 35 on Friday, November 3 for repairs. Detour signs will be in place.

Second Avenue, Sudbury- New traffic signals at the intersection of Kenwood Drive and Second Avenue will be operational on Tuesday, October 31 as part of the Second Avenue

This week’s meeting of Greater Sudbury Council will include an update on the draft integrated site plan for the Kingsway Entertainment District, including the Greater Sudbury Arena/Event Centre, Gateway Casino and a hotel complex. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, in the Council Chamber of Tom Davies Square.

MR 80- (Notre Dame Avenue), Sudbury- Grading operations will close northbound and southbound traffic for 5 to 15 minute intervals on Notre Dame Avenue from Turner Avenue to 2.2 kilometres north on Saturday, October 28 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Elgin Street: Saturday, October 28, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The City of Greater Sudbury will begin the first of a series of consultation sessions for the Whitewater Lake subwatershed study. The first public open house will take place on November 2 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Dr. Edgar Leclair Community Centre, located at 158 St. Agnes St. in Azilda.

Rowat Street, Sudbury- Final asphalt work will close the intersection of Rowat Street and Lorne Street on Friday, October 27. Motorists are asked to use Bulmer Avenue, Demorest Avenue and Mary Street as alternative routes. Work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
