Crack sealing on MR 80, between Frost Street and Glenn Street in Hanmer, is now complete. Crews will move to MR 8 in Levack and Onaping, between Highway 144 and 3rd Avenue, starting tomorrow (June 17).

There are a variety of fresh produce and other local goodies at the Market this weekend. Three Forks Farms, new vendors at the Market this year, will be selling sunflower, pea sprouts and radishes. Another new vendor, Thrive Naturally will have local, plant-based and dairy free bars. Maple and honey products will also be available.

- Three Citizens Appointed to Greater Sudbury Development Corporation Board of Directors

Karen Hourtovenko, Joanne Gervais and Angela Recollet have been appointed to the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) Board of Directors for three-year terms. The appointments were announced at the GSDC Annual General Meeting on June 15, 2016 following a citywide call for applications. Service on the GSDC Board of Directors is an unpaid, volunteer position.

- Chelmsford Plant Closed to RV Dumping

An emergency water service repair has closed the Chelmsford Water Pollution Control Plant to Recreational Vehicle (RV) wastewater dumping until further notice. The Sudbury Wastewater Treatment Plant is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

CN & CP will be conducting repairs to several rail crossings in Greater Sudbury in June and July. Repairs will be done over one weekend, in each location, and require full road closures.

École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier’s grade 7 and 8 outdoor space takes home the runner-up prize.
