Nickel District Conservation Authority

Mission:

The Nickel District Conservation Authority (NDCA) operates under the powers provided in the Conservation Authorities Act and the Clean Water Act, 2006. The NDCA's primary responsibilities relate to flood control, flood forecasting and warning, watershed stewardship, hazard land management, drinking water source protection and environmental education.

Members of the NDCA General Board are responsible for policy development, annual budget and business plan development in conjunction with staff, leading corporate strategic planning, and serving on certain committees of the Nickel District Conservation Foundation.  Council appoints five citizens and four Councillors to the board.
