Committee of Management, Pioneer Manor

Mandate:

To monitor, evaluate and recommend to Council all legislative and policy matters related to:

  • The provision and delivery of services pertaining  to health and social services for the residents of the

    North East Centre of Excellence for Seniors' Health (Pioneer Manor) located in the City of Greater Sudbury specifically related to, but not confined or limited to:

    • The Homes for the Aged and Rest Homes Act
    • Such other relevant legislation as may from time to time be deemed appropriate to the consideration of the Board; 
  • The operation, administration, and functions of the City's Community Development Services Department specifically related to the North East Centre of Excellence for Seniors' Health (Pioneer Manor);
  • The establishment and provision of all special or short-term programs or projects operating under the auspices of the North East Centre of Excellence for Seniors' Health (Pioneer Manor) specifically related to, but not confined or limited to, the following functions:
    • Health and social planning
    • Health and social demographic studies or evaluations
    • Potential client needs assessment
    • Impact assessment of proposed or potential legislative, amendments related to either health or social services
    • Such other relevant matters as may from time to time be deemed appropriate to the considerations of the board.

Time Commitment:

There are a minimum of four meetings per year, but additional meetings may also be scheduled if required.

Term of appointment coincides with the term of Council.
