Greater Sudbury Public Library 

The Greater Sudbury Public Library is proud to offer a wide range of bilingual services and collections which meet the information and leisure needs of all ages.

The library strives to enrich the lives of individuals and the spirit of the community by providing the highest quality library service to our citizens in their quest to read, learn, educate and dream. We support all members of the community by providing equitable access to a wide variety of information sources and literature.

The Greater Sudbury Public Library is governed by a Library Board that reports directly to Council as defined by the Ontario Public Libraries Act.

The Art Gallery of Sudbury

The Art Gallery of Sudbury (AGS) is a dynamic and bilingual nonprofit and charitable public art gallery. The AGS is a key art educational, cultural and tourism destination, directly serving and engaging 45,000 to 75,000 people annually. The AGS originates and presents up to 30 new and innovative exhibitions of contemporary and historical art, design and craft each year, making it a provincial leader in producing high-quality art education and outreach activities. As of 2021, there were over 2200 permanent works in the art collections.

The Sudbury Theatre Centre

The Sudbury Theatre Centre (STC) is located in downtown Sudbury. It presents a mix of popular professional theatre productions, and local stories by local playwrights, telling relevant stories that reflect the Greater Sudbury community for almost 50 years. The STC’s mandate is to entertain, educate, engage and invigorate its audiences through the creation and presentation of top-quality local and professional theatrical productions. STC also teaches and develops awareness, appreciation, and the practice of the art of theatre to the youth of Greater Sudbury.

Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association

Beginning in 1984, The Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association provide multicultural and cross cultural services to communities, such as providing information and referral for newcomers to Canada, assistance filling out government forms and employment agency referrals. Some of the services it provides are immigrant and newcomer and settlement programs, multicultural youth council and cross cultural education. The Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association has 37 delegate groups with a client population of over 30,000 citizens of Greater Sudbury and managed by an elected board of directors consisting of 17 members.
