Construction Works

The construction works include the following approximate quantities:

Construction works are taking place on the bridge structures, the approaches to the bridges and the culvert.  The bridge structure work includes replacing deteriorated concrete and reinforcing steel on the deck surface and placing 60 mm concrete overlay, concrete and crack repairs on soffit, reface abutments and wingwalls, construct new concrete barrier walls and approach slabs.  The approach work includes replacing deficient guide rails, curb and gutter, gutter outlets, and new asphalt pavement.  The culvert work includes replacing the existing SPCSPA with a new precast concrete box culvert within the #3003 bridge approach works and staging limits, and installing bedding, frost tapers and rock protection.

Tender documents and drawings may be downloaded free of charge from the City of Greater Sudbury’s (City) website http://www.greatersudbury.ca/tenders or may be picked up at the City of Greater Sudbury, Engineering Services Division, Third Floor, Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady Street, Box 5000, Station A, Sudbury, Ontario, P3A 5P3, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, upon receipt of a non-refundable payment of $130.00 (includes H.S.T.).  Tender documents may also be viewed at the same location.

Prequalification

Bidders must prequalify and the deadline to apply for prequalification is 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
 
Only bids from prequalified Bidders will be considered.

Tender Information Meeting

A Tender Information Meeting will be held on Monday, April 24 2017, at 10:00 AM, in Committee Room C-13B, Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady Street, Sudbury, Ontario.

Deadline for Questions

The Deadline for questions is 12:00 Noon, Monday, May 8, 2017.

Tender Opening

Tenders will be opened publicly at 2:30 PM, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, by the Tender Opening Committee, in Committee Room C-13A, Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady Street, Sudbury, Ontario.
