UPDATE: Tom Davies Square and Larch Street Open on Thursday

UPDATE:

Tom Davies Square and 199 Larch Street will re-open for business as usual on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Greater Sudbury Police Service advise that there is no further concern for public or employee safety in this matter. We thank residents and staff for their patience and cooperation.

Residents and staff parked underground are now able to access their vehicles.

Tom Davies Square and Larch Street Closed for the Day

Tom Davies Square and 199 Larch St. are closed for the remainder of the day. The buildings are expected to open for business as usual tomorrow morning. 

The following meetings scheduled for this evening at Tom Davies Square are cancelled:

Planning Committee 

Committee of Adjustment

All other meetings scheduled for this afternoon and evening at Tom Davies Square and 199 Larch St.

At approximately 11 a.m. this morning, Tom Davies Square and 199 Larch Street were evacuated after a suspicious package was located outside. Police are currently on scene and the investigation continues. All occupants are safe.

Updates will be provided as they become available.
