Double H. Television is filming scenes on Homewood Avenue and in Downtown Sudbury for a Hallmark television movie. “Holiday Help” is billed as a heartfelt story about a single mother’s struggle and faith during the Christmas season.

Filming on Homewood Avenue, between O’Connor Street and the cul-de-sac, will take place this evening, Friday, September 12, starting at 4 p.m. until approximately 2 a.m. Scenes will also be filmed in the alley connecting Homewood and Laura Avenue.

The scenes involve dialogue between characters as they move up and down the street. Some residents have already been contacted by the film producers for the placement of exterior set decorations on their properties. Pedestrians and traffic may encounter short delays while filming is in progress.
Filming in Downtown Sudbury will take place Monday, September 15, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Film crews will occupy metered parking on Durham Street, between Larch and Cedar Streets, on the north side of Cedar Street, and on the north side of Larch Street, between Elgin and Lisgar.

Traffic and pedestrians in Downtown Sudbury may encounter short delays while filming is in progress in the area of Hollywood Shoppe on Cedar, Old Rock Café on Durham and Oscar’s Grill on Durham.
