Scott Lund Returns As Chair of Development Corporation

Released Wednesday, Jun 13, 2012

At the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation Annual General Meeting on June 13, Scott Lund was unanimously chosen to lead the corporation’s Board of Directors for the next twelve months.

“With several multi-billion dollar projects planned for the next few years, Greater Sudbury is poised to boom,” Lund said. 'The GSDC has played a significant role in assisting these developments and our Board looks forward to working with all our partners to ensure that this community receives maximum benefit from this unprecedented opportunity."
The GSDC Board recently updated Greater Sudbury’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, Digging Deeper.  The revised plan places a focus on implementing the Downtown Master Plan, selling the city to potential investors and visitors, advancing the industrial land servicing strategy, and working with local employers and institutions to attract employees and students.
“Our city has a great story to tell and a very bright future,” Lund said.  “The GSDC Board is committed to packaging investment, employment and tourism opportunities and bringing them to the world.”
