Scott Lund appointed Chair of Greater Sudbury Economic Development Corporation

The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) is pleased to announce that Scott Lund was chosen to succeed Guy Labine as Chair of the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) at their Annual General Meeting, held June 9th.
Lund is Vice-President and General Manager of CTV Northern Ontario and is the former chair of Cinefest. Lund serves as chair of Science North He is also a former board member of the Music and Film in Motion, Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, and Sudbury Regional Hospital boards. He currently serves on the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
'The City is fortunate to have Scott Lund as Chair of the GSDC. He has always been a fierce advocate for the City and he is committed to the vision we have for Greater Sudbury,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor, John Rodriguez. Scott's expertise will be a tremendous asset developing initiatives that will attract new businesses to our community”.
'I would also like to offer my sincere thanks to Guy Labine for his effort and dedication over the past six years with the GSDC,” said Mayor Rodriguez. 'His energy, commitment, insight and leadership have helped us to make great strides in areas of economic development. I hope that Guy will remain engaged with us in the coming years.”

Lund will officially take over as Chair of the GSDC immediately, and will hold the position for a year. Labine will stay on as past-Chair.
