Non-Profit Groups Eligible to Apply for Local Transit and Transportation Grant

Greater Sudbury Transit offers financial support to eligible not-for-profit, charitable and community groups in need of transportation to a single local event or program.

The Greater Sudbury Transit Fare and Transportation Grant provides charter service, up to a maximum of four hours, or up to $500 in adult fares to transport participants to eligible community events or programs.

Groups may apply for a one-time grant online or on paper, starting Monday, January 16, 2017. Grants are awarded to eligible applicants, first-come, first-served, until the $25,000 program fund is depleted.

Greater Sudbury Transit Fare and Transportation Grant funding is provided through Provincial Gas Tax and is an approved program of Greater Sudbury Council.
