Jazz Up your Weekend with Apples, Squash and More at The Market this Weekend!

Sep 8, 2016

The leaves may not be changing colour yet but fall is in full swing at The Market this weekend! Stop by and pick up two of our most versatile and hearty produce picks this season: apples and squash. With a variety of types available, both are delicious to include in pies, compotes and sauces.

Speaking of sauces, this weekend is the perfect time to stock up on the fresh local tomato sauces we have to offer. Serve it warm with a hearty meal to combat any cool fall night.
If you’re thinking of embracing the cooler temperatures this fall, consider saving some of your seasonal veggie favorites in the freezer. Our summer corn will still be available this weekend and freezing the corn right on the cob will preserve this sweet summer favorite until you are ready to enjoy it.

The Market is excited to be pairing up with the Sudbury Jazz festival this Weekend! Don’t miss local jazz favourite Jacob Starling who will be playing at The Market from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10.  Showcase your best ‘jazz hands’ at the Sudbury Jazz festival from September 7 to 11.

The Market is your destination for fresh air and fresh food this season. Enjoy live entertainment, fresh local produce, unique gift ideas and much more. The Market is located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin St. in downtown Sudbury, and is open every weekend rain or shine, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
