Greater Sudbury Development Corporation Welcomes Young Entrepreneur of the Year

The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) is pleased to announce that Frank Chartrand has been appointed to the Board of Directors. Chartrand, who was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2013 Northern Ontario Business Awards, will serve for a term ending June 30, 2016.
Chartrand is co-founder and account executive for “Bureau”, a local marketing and webdesign firm headquartered in Sudbury. Past and present clients include Collège Boréal, Université de Hearst, Freelandt, Caldwell, Reilly LLP, Laurentian University, Carrefour Francophone, Le Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario, Musagetes, and Mavi.
Together with business partner Nico Taus, Chartrand is a graduate and past professor of Cambrian College’s graphic design program. He holds a BA in Communication Studies from Laurentian University and is currently achieving his Master of Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. An avid musician, Chartrand also promotes underground music and arts events in Northern Ontario.

The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation is the economic development arm of the City of Greater Sudbury. Consisting of a 17-member Board of Directors and supported by municipal staff, the GSDC acts as a catalyst for economic development initiatives and supports the attraction, development and retention of business in the community.
