City of Greater Sudbury Offering Free Bystander Hands-Only CPR Training Sessions

The City of Greater Sudbury’s Paramedic Services is presenting free bystander hands-only CPR training sessions to give residents the tools they need to help save a life. These sessions are in partnership with the Heart and Stroke foundation to help promote the “It Only Takes Two Hands” campaign. If provided immediately, effective bystander hands-only CPR greatly increases a victim’s chance of survival.

The City of Greater Sudbury is offering 11 sessions throughout the community beginning on October 21 at the following locations:


October 21 at Howard Armstrong from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

October 24 at Lionel E. Lalonde from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

October 28 at Dowling Leisure Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 2 at Kinsmen Hall from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 4 at Lasalle Secondary School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 10 at Churchill Public School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 12 at Howard Armstrong from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

November 14 at Lionel E. Lalonde from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 17 at Sudbury Secondary School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 21 at MacLeod Public School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 24 at Garson Arena from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.


Residents can choose their preferred location by registering online at www.greatersudbury.ca/CPR  or by calling 705-674-4455 extension 5204 and leaving a message with their name, phone number and preferred location.  Residents will receive a confirmation of their registration within 24 hours.
