Citizens Invited to Participate in 2015 Budget Consultation

As part of their commitment to long-term fiscal sustainability, the Finance and Administration Committee is looking for creative solutions to find efficiencies and opportunities for savings for the 2015 municipal budget. The committee will hear these ideas at a community consultation scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Council Chamber of Tom Davies Square.

Residents wishing to make a presentation to the Finance and Administration Committee must register with the Office of the City Clerk by calling 3-1-1.

The Finance and Administration Committee will hear presenters in the order they appear on the speakers' list. Presenters are asked to limit their remarks to five minutes to provide as many people as possible an opportunity to share their comments.

Those who cannot attend the January 20 meeting are welcome to submit written comments online at www.greatersudbury.ca/budget, starting on Monday, January 12. Forms will also be available at your local Citizen Service Centre. Written submissions will be accepted until end of day on Friday, February 6, 2015. 

All written comments will be provided to the Finance and Administration Committee for review.
