The City of Greater Sudbury is frequently looking for energetic high school and post secondary students for various part time and casual positions at various times during the school year. These positions, when available, will be posted on the City of Greater Sudbury's web site under Current Employment Opportunities.
The City of Greater Sudbury also recognizes that providing employment opportunities for students during the summer months is responsible, desirable and a benefit to the community. To achieve this outcome, a Summer Student Hiring Policy exists for the City of Greater Sudbury and all Summer Students are hired under the Policy. To be eligible for summer employment, a person must be enrolled full time in a secondary or post secondary institution during the academic year in which he/she is applying for summer employment, intend to return to school full time at the end of the period of employment, and has a legal right to work in Canada.
Applications for employment from secondary school students will be accepted, however, college and university students and students in their last year of secondary school will receive preference for employment.
Application forms for Summer Student employment will be available from and accepted by the Human Resources and Organizational Development Department from approximately December 1st to mid-February.
