Various Waste Collection Containers

Welcome to the Teacher's Corner, a page dedicated to educators who want to teach their students about solid waste and related issues. Here you'll find activities and games aimed at teaching students the value of environmental stewardship and the three R's - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

If you have games, activities or other relevant educational material you would like to contribute, feel free to make a submission to wastemanagement@greatersudbury.ca . Bilingual material is preferred. For more information about any of the following, please contact 3-1-1.

Electronic Learning Links

Here is a list of interactive environmental websites that are fun and teach children about important issues.  You can incorporate computer lessons/sessions with environmental learning.  Some websites have interactive games, activities, and learning pages and some have print off lessons and colouring sheets.  You can walk students through one of the websites or write the list and let them explore.

Please note some sites are harder than others, so it's a good idea to check them out yourself to make sure every student will be comfortable using it.
