Paramedics - Making a Difference for Life

Greater Sudbury Paramedics have pride in the  contributions they make to our citizens and our  community. Those interested in becoming a  paramedic in the City of Greater Sudbury   require the following prerequisites:

1) Successfully obtain a Diploma in Paramedicine from a Provincially approved College. Local approved Colleges include Cambrian College, Collège Boréal, or CTS - Canadian Career College.

2) A-EMCA Provincial Paramedic Certification.

3) In addition to the Legislated prerequisite requirements set out above, those interested must hold a current first aid/CPR certificate as well as as a Class F driver's licence.

  • Those interested in becoming a paramedic should consider joining a First Response Team, becoming a life guard, ski patrol member, or any other organization that demonstrates your commitment to health care (i.e. St John's Link, ski patrol, Red Cross).
  • In accordance with Corporate Policy, unsolicited applications are not accepted. Those interested in employment should review open job postings on the City's Website: http://www.greatersudbury.ca. During an active job posting, candidates can obtain the application hiring package.
