Emergency Preparedness
Be assured that the City of Greater Sudbury and its partners will work together to respond to any urgent situation. When the unexpected occurs, you play an important role as well. Review our helpful resources and ensure that you and your family are prepared.

Emergency Medical Services
The Emergency Medical Services Division is the sole provider of ambulance service in the City of Greater Sudbury and is responsible for providing primary and advanced medical care to ill and injured persons to, from and between medical treatment facilities.

Fire Services
Our fire fighters are dedicated to the delivery of fire protection services, fire prevention and public education, ensuring that all citizens are aware, informed and protected.

Haitian Earthquake Relief Effort-The Government of Canada will match the contributions of individual Canadians to eligible Canadian charitable organizations in support of humanitarian and recovery efforts in response to the earthquake in Haiti, up to a total of $50 million. The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) will allocate these funds to Canadian and international humanitarian and development organizations.
