Do you currently own a home that is in need of major repairs?
The City of Greater Sudbury is participating in the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program Extension (2009), Northern Home Repair Program Phase II. The Program provides up to $10,000 in a forgivable mortgage loan to low and moderate income households to assist them in performing eligible major repairs to their homes. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis until December 11, 2009, or until funding is depleted.
To qualify you must:
- Be 18 years of age, a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant
- Be a homeowner in the City of Greater Sudbury
- The home you renovate must be your principal residence
- Have a maximum household income of $67,600
- Your home must be valued at no more than $184,275
- Property taxes must be current
- The homeowner must have adequate home insurance
- Work cannot have started prior to receiving funding approval
