Northern Home Repair Program Phase II  
Do you currently own a home that is in need of major repairs?

The City of Greater Sudbury is participating in the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program Extension (2009), Northern Home Repair Program Phase II.  The Program provides up to $10,000 in a forgivable mortgage loan to low and moderate income households to assist them in performing eligible major repairs to their homes.  Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis until December 11, 2009, or until funding is depleted.

To qualify you must:

  • Be 18 years of age, a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant
  • Be a homeowner in the City of Greater Sudbury
  • The home you renovate must be your principal residence
  • Have a maximum household income of $67,600
  • Your home must be valued at no more than $184,275
  • Property taxes must be current
  • The homeowner must have adequate home insurance
  • Work cannot have started prior to receiving funding approval
